Cambrian Rally 2020

Photos by Alistair Wells

This was the first event of the year for us and the first round of the 2020 British Rally Championship, one of the most eagerly anticipated renditions of the series in recent years.

On the same weekend that Storm Ciara swept in across the UK, the weather conditions ended up being perfect for a days rallying the forest. In fact only a day later the nearby village of Llanwrst (next to SS2 and SS6, Gwydyr) was under several feet of water!

The seven stage test saw local man Matt Edwards in his Ford Fiesta WRC take the top step of the podium. Following Edwards  was a competitive field with nearly 110 cars leaving the ceremonial start in Llandudno.

The Cambrian was a great way to kick off our 2020 and we can't wait to cover later rounds of the BRC this year!
